MAD OPHELIA

Through the character Ophelia, I explored the theme of madness and colour therapy for my final year project.

Colour therapy is an alternative therapy in which the patient wears a colour which symbolizes traits that they wish to embody. Ophelia wears he colour green which is associated with generosity, love, selflessness and independence.

The silhouette and textile design of this costume is a mix of Tudor period and 1990s.

'IOLANTHE' (2018) ENO PLACEMENT

At the end of 2017 I was fortunate to do a work placement in the dye room at the English National Opera working on 'Iolanthe' (2018). During my placement my main task was to enhance the fabric used for 'Stephon' and 'Phylls' costumes.

INK (2017)

In June 2017 I completed a work placement at the Almeida Theatre, as well as my wardrobe assistant duties I distressed the printers' boiler suits and made the printer's hats.

In September 2017 I was asked to come back to work for a few days on the west-end transfer.

JUNE & ARCHIE

In March 2015 I collaborated with a fellow technician on a show called '4 Seasons.'

The production was intended to be an educational show teaching young children about the seasons of the year.

For our room, which was summer, we intended to teach children the importance of sun safety through puppetry. The puppets were inspired by Punch and Judy puppets; however I modernized them for the modern audience.
